Troubleshooting
This page acts as a troubleshooting reference for the more common issues with the ColonyCam API. We hope that the experience is mostly trouble free, however there can be more common issues which can be resolved easily. Connection attempt failed
Connection attempts failing when trying to invoke endpoints indicate connectivity issues. Please:
- Make sure the ColonyCam is powered on and physically connected to the network with an ethernet cable (can you ping it from the client PC?)
- The client PC that you are using is on the same network as the ColonyCam and that the server address you are using is correct.
- Verify that the endpoint addresses used match those in the Endpoints section.
- Check that there are no other devices on the network using the same IP addess and port.
- Verify that the connection is not being blocked by antivirus or a firewall on the client PC.
